Scheduling Your Mediation Initial Meeting

Take your first step toward a fair and peaceful resolution.

What You Need to Know:

  • This is a 45-minute meeting and takes place via Zoom.
  • Available to couples whose divorce or separation will take place in California, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington State.
  • Both spouses must be in attendance.
  • You do not need to be in the same location as your spouse unless you would like to be.
  • You can often reserve an appointment same week or within a week’s notice.
  • Meeting fee is $195

Why do you charge for the initial meeting when others offer it free?

I make this a paid session because I'm committed to providing real value in every interaction.

I've found that couples who invest in this initial meeting come better prepared and are more likely to achieve successful outcomes through mediation. It ensures our time together is focused entirely on understanding your needs and determining if mediation is the right fit for your family.

Think of it as your first step toward a more constructive divorce process - one where every interaction is purposeful and productive.

There are 3 easy steps to the booking process:

1. Complete our intake form.

The information you provide will not be shared with anyone outside of our office. During our time together, we’ll build on what you shared as well as discuss how we will help you get through your divorce or separation as peacefully and productively as possible.

2. Pay for your meeting.

Immediately after you submit your Intake Form, you’ll be redirected to a secure checkout page where you can pay for your meeting.

3. Choose a date and time for your meeting.

You will then be redirected to a page containing a link to Joe’s calendar where you can view availability and select a date/time that works for you and your spouse.

If you need to compare calendars with your spouse before you select a meeting date/time, no worries! After you pay for your meeting, an email will also be sent to you containing the link to Joe’s calendar. You can use that to book your meeting date/time when you’re ready.

Note: You may need to check your spam, junk or promotions folders in order to find the email.

Important Information:

  • To ensure everyone’s time is respected and we can accommodate any necessary preparations, we ask for at least 72 hours’ notice for any meeting changes.
  • If you are looking for legal advice, DO NOT book this meeting. We are not lawyers and we cannot and will not provide legal advice.
  • And if you’re only looking for someone to file your divorce and nothing else, don’t book this meeting – that isn’t what mediation is for.
